Question:
|
Though you say you are strange because
of the high-function autism, your disorder is very light. Therefore, isn't
your problem mostly coming from your selfishness or impoliteness?

Answer:
|
I am often called being selfish or impolite. Often it is true.
However, the difference between super unique and high-function autism is
that their antisocial or irrespective act without any self-control.
I am often called "fearless"or "courageous", but my
wild speech and act are not done purposely. I am rather living with fear
of doing something that makes people frown, without even noticing. Usually
I feel it is much easier to live in the U.S. where meaning of being "common"
is in a much wider range than in Japan. In Japan, everyone are expected
to be very similar.

Isn't that just you cannot function
in Japanese society ? Why don't you just live in a foreign country if it
is so hard for you to live in Japan?

Answer:

High-function autism spectrum and Asperger's
syndrome were discovered outside Japan. Research is progressing rather
in Europe and America. Having high-function autism is not only inconvenient
in Japan, but it is also very hard for people who lives in other countries,
too.
And in my case, since my marriage partner is an earth person who was made
in Japan and works there, we have to live in Japan for now.

I don't think telling about my disorder
as a part of my individuality (and a part of my special feature) is bad.
Since high-function autism gives you difficulty, it should gives you some
merit, too, I think. I don't think it is a shame to take advantage of it.
Since I want to do more work as a writer / translator, I want to work taking
full advantage of my special features. |
