"Setsubun"
Japanese February is "setsubun".  "Setsubun" is a matter of event of the time.  When it is February 3, a Japanese says  "An ogre is outside", "Good luck is the inside",  and sows a bean with a family.  It does so, and the people hope for family's happiness.

"A family's event." One in the family is imitated to the ogre, and a bean is thrown to the ogre with all of the family.
	"The event of the area." Many people gather in the place  where a thing such as a shrine is wide, and a bean is sown by the area.  The rest of these events come back  to the house, and family's safety in 1 year is prayed for, and only the number of age eats a bean.

Japan got cold completely. 
But, it is said that they went to cold Mt snow for skiing. 
They didn't need to catch a cold.
